Hit By Lightning Pt 2

I got up and walked in to the kitchen and my Dad said your antenna was just hit by a bolt of lightning. He said it bounced from a power pole to the antenna and then started to run down the coax towards the house.
I was lucky it did not run into the house but stopped at a connection in the coax. If it would have went on through the house it could have got me and my radio I was using.
The reason it could have got me is were I have my coax inside the room. At the time I had my feet resting against the wall right against the coax and it could have hit me too. So I got real lucky that nothing was damaged except the connector and I am still using the same antenna today with no issues.
