Bonfire and fireworks

Tonight there were lots of different fire work displays going on all over the country as on the 5th November (in the middle of the week) was official Bonfire Night.

It is the date when Guy Fawkes planned to blow up the houses of parliament and ever since we as a country celebrate with fire works and a bonfire.

Our local display is always very popular and most years we go down all wrapped up in coats, hats, scarfs and gloves but it has rained and rained and rained today so I thought it be best we stayed home the whole place would be muddy and we would get soaking. Well it turns out from our flat we have a perfect view of the fireworks, I wish we had stayed home sooner we could have had years of watching from the warmth of our own home!
