Adverbs of manner tell us the manner in which something happen.
Look at these sentences:
1. The waste of nuclear products completely destroys the environment.
2. The nuclear blast imperiled the environment and humans severely.

The words 'completely' and 'severely' are called adverbs
Adverbs explain how something is done.
Adverbs are usually formed by adding -ly or -ily to adjectives.

The adverbs are usually put before or after the main verbs and after the direct object.
e.g.: - He drives carefully
        - She smiled cheerfully
        - They have finished the work quickly
        - He drives his car carefully

Remember!
1. The position of adverbs before the main verb is emphasizing the verb.
e.g.: The waste of the nuclear products completely destroys the environment
2. The position of adverbs of manner in passive sentences is usually right after the verb to be.
e.g.: - The moon was beautifully decorated
        - The lesson was completely taught to the students.
3. There are adverbs that have the same form of adjectives.
e.g.: early, far, fast, hard, late, long, much, near, soon, daily, little, high, deep.
4. The adverbs of 'good' is 'well'
5. The suffix -ly in words such as badly, highly, and deeply mean 'very'.
